Florida bragging rights

The Miami Dolphins face off their inner state rivals, this Saturday, and are looking to at least try to finish the season off with a few wins to begin to build momentum for next year. The Jacksonville Jaguars offer the perfect opportunity to add another victory to their season total, because the Jaguars share the honor of having the worst record in the league at 2-11, and they rank 31st in the league in both total offense and defense.

The Dolphins have played admirable in their last two games, against two of the best teams in the league, and hopefully their hard work pays off, and allows them to throttle the Jaguars. The Dolphins offense has definitely been struggling, so hopefully going against one of the worst defenses in the league can give a spark to the offense. This is not rocket science here, the Phins need to establish the run game, stop turning the ball over, convert third downs, and score touchdowns when they get into the red zone.

The defense has played decent the last few weeks, but they have only forced 1 turnover in the last 6 games. Looking at that statistic, I almost can’t even believe it is true. Obviously if you are constantly turning the ball over, plus your defense can’t create turnovers, then you really don’t give yourself a good chance to win in this league.

The Dolphins will be facing their ex-Qb Chad Henne, so it will be very interesting to see if Henne lights the Dolphins secondary up, or if he proves why he was not resigned, and throws multiple interceptions. My money is on that Henne, gets picked off at least twice, and the Phins will win, and cover the -7 point spread.
