Tua Out, But Playoffs Might Be Moot Anyway!

The Miami Dolphins have a critical game vs the New York Jets this week and if they win and the Broncos lose, then the Phins will make the postseason. Unfortunately, it’s now official that Tua won’t play this week, so Tyler Huntley will be behind center. The weird part is Tua wants to play, but the trainers and the top brass are telling him no. It’s similar to when he was shut down for a month after the concussion in Week 2.

Is it wise for Tua to play?

Would Tua be doing more harm than good to himself playing?

We don’t know if the right call is to hold him out or let him play. But Miami is the one saying Tua can’t play, so while we should be frustrated about his continual injuries, it’s not a matter of him not wanting to play. Tua wants to be on the field but either his body is telling him no or he’s being held back by those above him or both. Either way none of this is any good.

In the end, we need the Broncos to lose and after looking at what the Chiefs are fielding, it doesn’t look good at all.

Chief Gift-Wrapping Broncos Win?

You can see in the image below that the Chiefs have little intention of trying to beat the Broncos on the road and are shutting a ton of top players this week.

Maybe this is why the Dolphins chose to not risk Tua to further injury this week because they know win or lose, they won’t see the postseason. The Broncos were a chip shot field goal away from beating the Chiefs in their house, so I think it’s a really good bet with the best pay per head that they win at home vs half the starting squad. Jets folding up for the offseason or not it seems the post season is going to be out of reach. Of course, you never know–feel like I’m always having to cling to that phase– but it does feel like things will go our way.

In the end, Tua or not, we didn’t take care of enough business to earn the shot to be in control–again. Still, if we are going to stick with this regime, and it looks like we will, at least let us hope the Phins beat a terrible Jets team on the road and in what appears to be bad weather.

Can we get a miracle? Maybe 1000th times is the charm. Go Phins!!!

AAAHHHH I can’t wait for next year when tua wins the first four games then looses the rest of the season (again).
