Wake Can Crack The Neck Of Bills Franchise
The Bills regime is on the edge of destruction, and Miami’s on the rise.
This game is huge for both the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills franchises.
One is circling the lower atmosphere of NFL success, and the other the rim of the toilet bowl.
With a win in either of their last two games Miami can give itself a 92% chance to enter the playoffs — and that’s nothing to scoff at.
With a loss in either of its last two games and Buffalo will be eliminated from contention, likely confirm the firing of Rex Ryan, and usher in their 3rd regime in four years.
Both sound like a good time for Dolphins faithful — not so much for the Bills terds, err ahem, I mean herds.
Enter Cameron Wake coming off his 5th Pro Bowl selection, just 14 months since a devastating Achilles injury.
Wake became a Dolphin in 2009, one year after their last Playoff appearance.
It’s now 2016, and he’s inches away from his first trip to the Post Season.
Wake can smell his long sought goal around the corner. It’s just about near enough to touch; but it’s not his — not yet. With one victory against the Bills and he’ll almost assuredly have earned his long awaited opportunity.
Wake, as rest of the Dolphins (and their fans), have waited almost eight years for this win.
At 34 years old, how much do you think he wants this?
Bills have produced less sacks then they have surrendered in 2016.
Personally, I wouldn’t want to be on the other end of a Wakezilla going full monster. But, that’s exactly what the Bills are getting.
They gave up 4 sacks in their first meeting. Wake had 1.5 of them.
Victory for the Dolphins will bring a high-likelihood of Playoffs and you can bet on the best pay per head sites, wrapped in sweet retribution for all the times that Rex Ryan has stuck it hard to the Dolphins, waiting on a plate for a sumptuous feast.
This is 5 Star dinning: Rex getting $%^* canned and a shot at a ring!
I’m here to state the obvious: Cameron Wake wants extra portions with a ton of blue-gravy on top.
Cameron Wake will bring it. Cameron Wake will deliver. If the rest of the Dolphins follow suit, Christmas will bring the certainty of a new era in Miami football. Go Fins!!!
The Bills are to the Fins a version of Ravens lite. They are a physical front 7 on D, and can run the ball on most anyone. This does not bode well for the Fins D, nor OL. This game can come down to a FG. Only way I see Fins winning this one is getting up early by 2 TD’s and forcing Bills to abandoning their run game and allowing Ajayi a high number of rush attempts.
Otherwise ….Fins fall back to earth.
…Mr Debbie Downer you are …but you’re seeing it mostly the way I am …close.
…but I’m a bit more upbeat on our chances of winning …Gase has learned a lot since the first game …and Ryan hasn’t …and he will be facing a QB he hasn’t seen before …thus I tend to believe that the offensive minded coach with a gunslinger QB will whup up on a defensive minded coach without one
…but, that said, I can play weasel and say I won’t be surprised either way 😎
Lemmus, you should have been a politician.
I’ll at once contest and agree:
The Bills have a superior Run game, lesser defense, and the short over the middle game isn’t the same because Flaco is 6’6” and Taylor is much shorter — angles change and the quick delivery isn’t as easy to achieve. But, Taylor is far more mobile and that can cause big problems for Miami. Overall, this is a tough team that lost by only lost by 3 with 200 yrds rush by Ajayi. And your other assessments of the Bills OL and the Dolphins strategy are spot on. But, Glenn, Cordy went from LP to DNP, if he doesn’t play that’s very bad new for the Bills. Wake will likely feast on his replacement. This is a tough go for Miami, but good teams make it happen. They need to win one more to have a rubber stamp of approval — I’m pretty happy at this point, but one more would be super-duper.
…I expect it to be a contest all the way through …the Bills always have played us well and when you throw Ryan and his job into the mix, I think we’ll see fireworks
…I’m hoping that the difference really is Wake …god knows he’s earned a playoff before his career is over
My hope is Williams comes in wanting to make a difference. The edge needs to be set. Wake sets it pretty well,Branch not so much. Maybe Jones can make that happen as well. They won’t get 200 yards from Ajayi this week, but Moore might attack the weak secondary will quick strikes to off set it.
Rex Ryan has stuck it to us a few times before. What is scary is that his teams play better in these situations than they do when they have a chance to help themselves and that is why he is getting fired.
This could make it all worth it. I don’t want anyone to lose their job, but he is going to get canned anyways, so we may as well be the team that makes it official. All the while putting ourselves in the playoffs (virtually). Sweet Revenge. Oh yea, sweeping another divisional opponent, while improving our division record to 4-1.
Gase has preached defending your home turf and winning in the division. Thats where it starts.
But before I get way to far ahead of myself, the Bills can play decent at times, so it will take an effort like last Sat. to leave there on a plane to the playoffs and XMas. Can’t ask for anything better at this point.
Miami must clean up its penalties vs the Bills. They had 13 for 113 in the first match-up. Eliminate penalties and zero turnovers.
Really need the Defense to step it up yet another notch. Would like to see a plan to make them bet us over the top. They do have some speed at WR, but I will take the chance with our CBs.
Would be so happy for Wake, for Denny, Rizzi. Denny and Rizzi have been there before but for Wake it would be so deserving. Really elated for the franchise, owner, coaches, players, especially after the dreaded 1-4 start.
Start fast and give them a reason to quite.
Penalties and turn-overs are so key…more so this week, on the road and against a desperate and emotional team. Miami will win if they limit the Bills run game. Low penalties, turn-overs and slow McCoy and the Bills will self destruct by the 3rd. They need to weather that early storm that is coming from the Bills. Many love Rex…some do not, time will allow the some to weaken and drag down the many.
