A Win To Keep Hope Alive
Yes, the stars need to align. Yes, the Dolphins need more help than a baby pulling a mack truck uphill on an icy winter’s day; BUT, we aren’t officially out of the playoffs!
And while I wouldn’t bet more than a couple of bucks with the best pay per head reviews in the world in the face of the odds – I’ll keep hope alive in my fandom till there is no hope left. So this game against the Eagles comes with keys or nails: keys to keep the season alive or nails to the coffin of the 2015 season.
Love them or hate them Philly fans make home games tough for opposing teams (and for there own team when they suck). So this game will be tough as far as external influence goes. The Dolphins fortunes will once again rest on the running game and stopping it. A good aspect of this game, beyond the win or loss, is we’ll see two things, Ajayi and Suh continue to develop into their roles as Miami Dolphins.
Suh took ALOT of heat early on, some justified and some not. Yes, the contract is big, but over the last couple of games, we have seen the type of force he can be. As the core of the defense, DT sets the tone for every other defensive player. If Suh plays as he has, he will be very close to being worth all the money he makes, in my opinion…and since he is uncuttable due to the contract, we’d better hope he at least gets into the ballpark.
Ajayi looked great in his limited looks. Every ‘Phin fan felt the thrill of excitement watching him burst with power into the hole. Not since Ricky has a back moved with such power and strength (Not considering him Ricky either, just reminiscent). No need to tell me to slow my roll, I’m not ready to crown him Peterson yet, and even if the talent is there, the durability concern lurks with every snap. But, the potential is very high. This week though will be a great gauge of what he will be going forward. The Eagles will have had time to watch some tape they will spend a little time preparing for him – which is all good. The most crucial thing to know about the future of a player is, “Can they beat the tape”. Film study is what makes a player on the pro level and what kills players on a pro-level. In this case, as you become more prominent, and your tape builds, opposition learns your tendencies and strength and forces you out of that. Beat the tape and you are a star.
I’m not sure if the good Fins team will show. I’m not sure if we will win. I’m not sure if we do both we will make the playoffs. What I am sure is if both Suh and Ajayi play like stars it will go along way to making all three happen. Times are tough for us, but I’m still pumped for this week’s game! Go Fins!!!

Not much, and our season is validation of it – sadly.
Questioned about the Dolphins! Can they handle the truth!
(The Miami Dolphins are passing their season away by being one demensional)
Does Matt Moore possess the ability to throw the deep ball? Why isnt he playing?
Miami has no leader on Offensive and who is the leader on defense?
Can you win with a QB who only throws short passes?
Can you win with a Questionable offensive line?
Can you win only with Landry play making ability?
Can you win without converting on 3rd downs 90% of the time?
Can you win with Offensive Coordinator who has tunnel visions to pass only?
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Can you win with a questionable secondary unit?
Can you win with a medocre special teams?
Lastly the Truth is the only thing the Dophins players are getting is paid for substandard performance! This is base on the doubt that everone has in this team with 8 games left.
It’s one thing if ” a wheel” falls off early in the season. It’s another when “all the wheels fall off”. Most of we fans were enthusiastic at the beginning of the season. We
wanted to be. What good would it do to blame someone even if we knew who to blame. The
Dolphins are who they are. A few decent pieces, a few barely decent misfits. We were told
by many that the pieces we had were adequate enough to be optimistic. I guess not ? What
are we in now – about the 12 year of rebuilding ? Who gives a rip about a new stadium if the
team playing in it is less than mediocre. Get it straight Mr. Ross or sell the damn’ team.
Think the main thing that decapitated us was remaining with Philbin. After his queasy post game speech last year I wasn’t a fan and thought he would hinder. But, I didnt think he could have screwed it up like he did. I think Campbell, who is a little over his head and rightly so considering what he has had to do, would have had the team in a better spot with an offseason to insert his vision. Everyone knew guard would be a weakness and having Jamil in there was outright stupid…much like Pouncy at guard last year it killed us…
Any glimmer of “hope” is merely a mathematical equation at this point. In reality this team is not playoff caliber so hoping for some favorable math wont translate to what we really want, a good football team.
The Eagles will win Sunday simply for the same reason everyone else who beats this team does, they have better players and coaches. It wont help that Philly found their running game and I fully expect them to come out ground and pounding.
I dont like our chances here either, but then again, theres only been a couple games I have.
Philly 30
Fins 20
I agree fully,BUT to see Ajayi blossom and Suh dominate and lead would be a great harbinger for next year even if we lose. Really as a fan I’m covering both bases so I can be psyched for Miami Dolphins football!
