Adam Gase is bringing excitement to players and fans, but will it amount to wins?
Adam Gase has already brought a refreshing directness and positive attitude to the building. Many players are already praising Gase’s energy, excitement and approachable nature, things that were sorely missing when Philbin was the head coach the past four years. Adam Gase maybe bringing excitement, but the most important question is, can he bring wins?
It’s often said that a team generally plays like the personality of their head coach. Under the stewardship of Coach Philbin, Miami tried to play with finesse, and but instead were robotic, flat, lacking inspiration or physicality. Based on Coach Gase’s personality, if they adopt his persona, Miami should play with more energy, enjoyment of the game, and an attack mentality.
Gase believes in being the “dictators” on the field – not being dictated too.
However, all Miami Dolphins News fans have bought a ticket to this ride before. New coaches new hype…yadda, yadda, yadda. For too long the initial amusement has ended with the same, downward, stomach churning dive that has led to the new coach eventually being ejected from the roll coaster before it has finished its run. If you look around the league and compare the perennial playoff teams, they have certain core things in common, they acquire most of their talent in the draft, have a great coach with long tenure, and have an elite QB.
This season we will quickly find which of the three we have – all, some…non.
Fans always want to their to be a positive side, even when the team has not given even the best at football gambling to bet on. As die hard fans who will always support their team, that’s the only way to be. So once again, Miami has a new head coach. Will this one be different? No one – I mean no one can say definitively! So, while Adam Gase has done very little so far turn a fan sour, I’m not ready to stake my reputation on his success. But, I will say this, out of the gate he is light year ahead of Philbin. Go Fins!!!
