There is no mystery that the Dolphins would like to add another wide receiver to their group, and they also prefer that to be a big-bodied receiver.
As the draft quickly approaches it is beginning to look more and more like the Phins will use at least one of their current 6 draft picks on a wide receiver. If the Dolphins do not land one of the top three wide receivers in the draft (White, Cooper or Parker), then there are quite a few other options. One of those options is Central Florida‘s Breshad Perriman.
Perriman, who is projected to be a 1st or 2nd round draft pick, is 6’2”, 212 pounds, and ran the 40 in 4.55 seconds. If Perriman were selected he would immediately be Miami’s biggest receiver, which in terms of size is something they are very interested in doing. In 2014 Perriman had 41 receptions for 906 yards and 9 touchdowns. Not only does Perriman bring size, but he brings big playability, which is evident from his explosive 22.1 yards per catch average. Most sports betting software in the world as www.AcePerHead.com and fans are intrigued by Perriman’s good mix of size and speed and his ability to make plays after he catches the ball.
The two knocks on Perriman is that he has had some issues with dropped passes, which is something that is a concern. He also played for Central Florida, which means his level of competition is not as high as some of the other top-rated wide receivers.
For me I am intrigued by Perriman because he is a big and fast receiver, and that 22.1 yards per catch average is definitely something that the Miami offense could use. The Dolphins need a red zone threat, and a player that can pick up those big junk yardage plays, and Perriman does check off those two boxes. Lastly his father Brett played in the NFL for 10 years for New Orleans and Detroit, which is a nice little extra bonus showing off his pedigree. Depending on what happens for the Dolphins in the first round, Perriman could be a very viable option for the Dolphins with their second-round pick. What do the rest of the Miami Dolphin News fans think about selecting Perriman?
