Anyone Else Hate The N.Y. Jest?!!
I remember in flashes of blurry images the “Mud Bowl”. I remember the Jets complaints about not putting the tarp down the night before. I remember the Blackwoods and laughing as A.J. Duhe intercepted Todd and ran in for the TD. I remember the 86′ O’Brien duel with Marino and screaming at our secondary. I rage with the memory of Dwight Stephenson and Lyons ending his career. Those were my memories of the 80’s. That was when my hatred for the Franchise was fused in my D.N.A.
Chances of us making the playoffs is slimmer than slim. This Sunday, nothing matters beyond the Dolphins beating the Jets. In the framework of football…I hate them. Jets first, then Bills and last is the Patriots. It will always be the loss of Dwight that makes be hate them the most. When Dwight went down Dan’s career took a step back and with it the whole franchise. Imagine if he had played 12, 15 or more years instead of barely 8? He was the only HOF’er Marino ever had and he was gone after less than a handful of years. It doesn’t take an expert at football bookie sites like www.aceperhead.com, to imagine what could’ve been with arguably the best Quarterback and Center the league has ever seen working together for more than 3 1/2 years!
This week I am amped. I don’t care about what we are going to do about this or that. I don’t care if we will hire or fire him or her. I only want to see the Jest lose…I love to see them lose – especially when it’s cruel like the fake spike. Nothing quite feels as good in a bad season as seeing Miami make the Bills and the Jets and their fans suffer! Maybe it’s petty- maybe. But there is good ole’ fun in hate and watching an enemy suffer! Miami can push the Jest under the water and finish them for the season. For this week it’s only about this week. Come one Fin Fans – forget about the future and let’s have some tunnel-vision fun. Go Fins and beat down them Jets!!!

I think a few key positions are very weak and we don’t have the staff to overcome them. Not a knock on Campbell at all, but good coaches win when down or don’t have plush rosters. Look at the Bills Ryan has taken a roster which has a novice QB, beat up DL and missing its star in the secondary and they play tough and are second in the division in his first year. A very good coach and an astute offseason and this team could be good, not great but good. Tanny for all his weaknesses could be bolstered with a run game, we have WR’s and TE…do what the rest of the league does get good guards mid to late round to fill in a solid C and good Tackles. On D get grimey some help, doesn’t have to be awesome, but solid +. Get a vet MLB to play stout and smart in the middle along with Jenkins and a smart FS that can keep everything in front and make back on the end calls – surrounding Suh, Rashad, Vernon and Phillips you have a D that can limit and more on occasion. PLay smart, don’t beat yourself and this team could fall into the top half of the league…

So you think you saved money ??
You think you helped this team ?
Or did you do that to show your boss that you are a good GM ??
And you ignored our Offensive line – the absolute worst in the league. Haven’t they told you that without a good offensive line your QB is below average. (Bottom third in the NFL rankings)
Sir if you had an ounce of pride you would resign at the end of this season. This is by far the worst season Tannehill has had. Is he part of the problem. ? Do we need to bench him until he learns to read defenses and to recognize when he will be sacked so he can throw it away.
Forget the deep pass. Don’t even practice it – its just a waste of time. Your offensive line cannot hold for that long (3 seconds) someone will sack him.
The heart of the defense is the Linebackers. I haven’t checked but all three probably rate around the bottom fourth of the league right ??
So what are we going to do about this ??
I have a suggestion Mr Tannebaum resign and let a capable GM take over. (Hickey) At least Hickeys first three draft picks last year are all starters. None of your first three picks are starters. You have only made this team worse since you came, because of your stupidity in not signing Mathis or Drafting a tackle that should have been drafted in the first round and you had a chance to draft him in the seventh round and passed. Are those good decisions ?? Id hate to see what bad ones are. No sir don’t pass the buck. Philbin is gone. So you cannot blame the coach any longer.
Please let Hickey run the front office and get out of the way if you will not resign. No recommendations either.
They certainly have been responsible for knocking us out of the playoffs in the past. Maybe this year will be our turn to get them out. I go back even further than the 80’s and it kills me to see the way they are playing now. The real heartbreak is I don’t have much hope for next year, I don’t think the talent level is high enough to make a difference.
I do believe coach Campbell will instill the right attitude in the team though
