Parker, Mr. “Not-Enough-Sense-To-Drink-Water”, Still Doesn’t Get It
Parker doesn’t get that talent only cracks the NFL door open
It took Parker 3 years to be professional enough to drink fluids before practice
DeVante Parker, ‘Mr. I don’t eat or drink fluids before practice’ is at it again. This time it isn’t a drinking, or lack of drinking, problem. No, he has that ‘advanced knowledge’ down now… finally. But the root cause for most of his issues is the same: lack of professionalism.
Despite Adam Gase saying, ‘he’s happy with Parker so far this preseason’, former Dolphins Chris Chambers thinks all is not right with the former 1st Round Pick. And after hearing what he had to say, neither do I.
You’d figure if a Pro Bowl player at your position called you several times offering to help you out, and you were struggling, that you’d leap at the chance to get help. Not Parker. Chambers said he reached out to Parker “several times to offer my assistance to speed up his growth curve,” but never heard back from him.
Chambers continued, “He was even seeing my secret weapon (extremity expert) Dr. Peter Marciante Chiro to help with his health but he didn’t stay consistent to see the benefits through the course of an NFL season,” Chambers said. It was just for “a couple visits.’
A knucklehead is as a knucklehead does.
Those who try to help and teach Parker must feel like this
Chambers described the difference between the pro and non-pro mindset, “Guys like Antonio Brown pride themselves on keeping themselves in top condition with nutrition therapy and training, plus adequate rest and recovery tools… I don’t think he has developed a consistent routine and the right team of doctors and trainers to help him get to that level. I would love to offer that plus my guidance.”
You’d think with all his struggles that Parker would be sprinting to any help offered? He appears oblivious to the obvious: everyone sees his issue but him.
This was a real bomb by Chambers, “I don’t know if he fully gets what it means to be a pro… talent only last so long. Hard work, dedication and technique will take you a longer way when you add it on top of talent.”
Parker is missing something in his heart or head…
It’s one thing to not know something. Everyone needs to learn… Although not knowing that you should drink fluids before a practice in South Flordia sun is very, very bad. Let me reiterate…. very, very bad. But to not respond to a possible mentor to gain help or wisdom or even just out of courtesy says something very deep about Parker’s character: ignorance, pride, or stupidity.
We would hope that Chamber isn’t telling it exactly as it is. But history and some facts within his story put the ball in Parker’ court.
Given this is his 4th season, the likelihood that these flaws change is low. Maybe he’ll go unscathed this season… maybe not. It’s not a winning bet he does with the pay per head reviews like AcePerHead.com that’s for sure. Either way, Parker is exactly the kind of player that Miami doesn’t want going forward. At this point, it would seem like he has these bad traits hardwired into him. He can always change this narrative though… Right?

One of the best analysis of the Miami Dolphins offensive line/at their best and at their worst.

After viewing this film I wonder have we fixed the line yet? And the undisputed field performance of Jay Ajayi.
Great watch thanks, Steve. Yeah, I love Kollman’s videos. Thing is, and there was no way of know at that point, Ajayi has certain weakness that team’s force him into… the tape caught up with him. First, he can’t pass block. This makes him a hindrance on 3rd downs and team’s attack his blocking skill. 2nd issue he loves outside zone and has a tendency to not take a small gain to hit the big one. On inside zone he bounces it outside too much. The OL was a huge issue, but it revealed these weaknesses and his character flaws. As for this OL, it has depth and plenty of it. Mostly it wasn’t that Pouncey Albert or Tunsil were so good on run downs… actually it’s the weakness of their game, but the depth behind them was so terrible. This OL is light years better and we haven’t seen if Smith or Asiatta have grown up. These two could make big strides in year two. At Center, Brendel is decent and I liked the addition of Mathhews, but Larsen can fill in there as well. The OL is the biggest reason I am excited for this season… let’s hope we don’t get a MASH unit of injuries on them… thanks again, Steve.
No problem Admin!
Hoping for a Great season.
Hello Admin
My next questioned is 2017 the Patriot right back to another Supper Bowl after struggling early in the season Now! The Eagle lost key players and did not missed a beat going on to win the Supper Bowl. “Base on these facts”, Can we say that any Elite NFL Coach can turn things around based on What key facts Admin that may apply to the Miami Dolphins? “Fact or Fictions?” Is it possible for Shaquille O’Neal to make 7 out 10 free throws OR The Miami Dolphins to make the Playoffs this season?
Patriots team under achieving the first five weeks “BUT” the Patriots improved to the Supper Bowl.

Hello Admin
My next questioned is how does this Dolphins Defensive Front Seven compare to the Eagle’s:

good watch… Graham is the model for Hayes it would seem. Phillips or Godchaux needs to be Cox though… that piece of the puzzle is my greatest concern.
Maclom = Minkah
Hello Admin
Maybe Parker has a strengthening plan.
My questioned is once this Dolphin’s team established their identity this 2018 season. What is the plan to prevent say one of our Nemesis teams the Patriots forcing the Dolphins to abandoned their identity and just play panic/fearful football like most teams they play?
Example:
How the Patriots use fear as a weapon.

I’m sure he does, but true professionalism runs through everything you do. He doesn’t seem to have ‘gotten it’ with this story. When there has been a huge fire, you can never discount smoke… as more often than not it’s a rekindling or the fire was never extinguished.
Sheesh…how about some plain old human courtesy. “Thank you for the offer, but I don’t believe I’ll take you up on it”…easy as that.
I don’t think Parker is a bad guy in the least… but childish and immature does come to mind… as you said, a simple ‘hey thanks’ would have been courteous and mature and professional… and why not pick his brain as well–that would be wise. It’s not like he has all the answers… hopefully, the kid gets it–if he already hasn’t.

I think it’s the mindset… if you really, really want to get better and you have proved you really, really need it, then you are taking every opportunity to get the help you need.
