Disappointment
The Dolphins had an opportunity to go into Buffalo and make a statement by starting the season off 2-0 against 2 division rivals. Instead the Dolphins laid a big fat egg, and played another horrible game against Buffalo. The Dolphins have lost 4 of the last 5 meetings against the Bills, and do not appear to be able to beat them in the foreseeable future.
The Dolphins offense was particularly pitiful, and it did not help that they lost Knowshon Moreno in the first quarter, and it appears now that he will be sidelined for at least a month, and even as long as 2 months. With Moreno out of the lineup the Dolphins offense looks a lot like the struggling offense from last season, so Lazor is going to have to find some creative ways to jump start the running game. Hickey has already re-signed Daniel Thomas, however sports betting software like Ace Per Head fans would say it is not wise to count on a player that the team just recently cut. All the fears that phins fans had about the running game going into this season, are now a sad reality without Moreno’s positive presence.
In addition, Ryan Tannehill put up another sub-par game, and all the promise of improvement he flashed during the pre-season seems to have vanished, and if this continues then the whispers of benching him will become full fledged demands. Unfortunately the Quarterback is the focal point of the criticism when the offense fails to perform, even though he did not receive that much help from the rest of the offense. The line was constantly under duress from an aggressive Bills D-line, the running game was non-existent, and the receivers were dropping catch-able balls. The only positive was that the offense was able to make some adjustments in the second half to at least put up 10 points.
What a difference a week makes; after the decisive comeback win against the Patriots the first Sunday it looked like and felt like this Dolphin team may have finally turned the corner. However after the all around awful team performance this past Sunday against the Bills it looks like this team has regressed from last year. Joe Philbin and the Dolphins have a lot of work to do this week if they want to rebound and put the previous debacle of a game behind them. Tannehill needs to start having better chemistry with his receivers before his leash gets tightened, and the running game needs to find someone who can run with some power and aggression.

The running back from Stanford in California is the Dolphin answer for a running back. Bottom line we are two year’s away from being a contender. The past three seasons we have not helped
our cause. We need a balanced attack. Like the Czonka, Kick, and Murcury Morris day’s Yes we need a offensive line help along with our defensive-line. Linebackers are next. Two years @ best if Tannehill is our QB. We have a lot of work to do. Look at all the top teams, they all have a running game with a good to great defense. We need this young man from Stanford to start with.
Easy now fellas, just need some time to gel with new offense. Its a great scheme.
We all see new HC impact their teams immediately. See 49ers, Bills, Eagles as examples of early success because of the HC.
We also see examples of new HC’s who simply perpetuate the team struggles, see Jax, Tenn, Vikings, Raidaz, etc.
It looks more and more like Philbin is just another in the long line of failed HC’s in this town.
Changing players everywhere hasnt done much in the way of results.
In my pregame post I said that special teams would make the difference. They stunk, so I guess that I was correct. This is the time for everyone to look in the mirror. Are we winners or just a pack of professional loosers?
