I didn’t believe Kenny Stills or Andre Branch would be back. Man was I wrong… and I couldn’t be happier.
With Stills I thought it would cost too much to have him and Jarvis Landry on the same squad. As far as Branch goes, his ability, or lack thereof, at holding the edge was the reason I thought he wouldn’t be back. At least, for the price he was expecting.
Branch is expected to get $27 million over three years. The particulars about Branch’s contract that has me wondering if it was the right move. How much is guaranteed?
Stills is getting a four year $32 million dollar contract with $20 million guaranteed. This is a great contract! Stills will make good. The guaranteed money doesn’t bother me in the least. I can’t believe he went with less money to be a Dolphin–although, the sure 20 million is very sweet for him.

This move makes me respect Stills more, as well as Gase’s charisma, and Mike Tannenbaum’s ability to make a good contract. This was a big win…

I like him and the short contract. I like that he is young, the Dolphins aren’t forced into getting a D-end early, and that he can rush the passer. Not sure if I like the price. But, I believe in this staff, and if they are good, then so am I… for now.
So, there you have it. The Dolphins aren’t playing. They said they will keep there own, and they meant it. This was a good day for the franchise… if Branch steps it up, it will have been a great day. Go Fins!!!
