Going out with a Bang
The Dolphins will be playing their last game of the season this Sunday at home against the hated New York Jets. It is a meaningless game for both teams, however, both teams would like to finish the 2014 season on a winning note.
The Dolphins are clearly the better team on paper and have a more talented roster, but on any given Sunday any team can win. I will just mention it briefly since I already stated in the last article that they were embarrassed on the ground against the Jets in the first game, so I would like to think that the Dolphins will be putting in some extra time and effort this week in order to focus on stopping the Jets rushing attack. Dolphins should at least be able to improve their rush defense from the first match up. Since this is probably Rex Ryan’s last game as the head coach, Miami needs to be on their toes for lots of trick plays, fake punts, and going for it on 4th down.
When Miami has the football, they need to have a well-balanced offense. For whatever reason, the Dolphins coaching staff finally gave Miller a healthy 19 carries last week, which were the most he had in any game all season. As a result, he ran for 92 yards with a 4.8 yards per carrying average, and a touchdown, so in other words a very productive day on the ground. Miller only needs 79 more yards to break the 1,000-yard mark for the season, something he has never done as a pro, so for sentimental reasons, I would assume that the coaches are going to try to give him a chance to hit that milestone with 15-20 rushing plays designed for him.

Another player that is close to setting a career-high and milestone statistic is Ryan Tannehill. He only needs 214 passing yards to reach the 4,000 passing yard mark for the season, a feat that he has come close to, but has not achieved before. Look for Tannehill to continue to spread the ball around the field, and to make a point of passing for more than 214 yards.
The best bookie software sites like www.AcePerHead.com in the world have the Dolphins as a -6 point home town favorite. The action is definitely coming in more on the Phins. It is a tough line to figure out considering the Dolphins had to have a come from behind victory, with a last-second field goal to win by only 3 points in the first meeting against the Jets. In addition, the Jets just played one of their best games of the season, losing by only 1 point to the Patriots, who only 2 weeks ago embarrassed the Dolphins. So just based on all that, it would seem that this should be a pretty close game. However, Miami played one of their worst games of the season when they played in New York on December 1st, and there will be a lot of adjustments they can make in this upcoming game in order to be better prepared to take on the Jets. I think Miami will finish on a high note and beat the Jets by double-digit points.
Each season we are talking linemen, linemen, linemen, linemen????? over 10 years we should have plenty of top linemen. Get your linemen off season the Dolphins picked better that way than the draft.
Now focus on Heisman and Thorpe players in this draft.
To get the Dolphins in the Play off games (should be 45% backfield, 30% QB to receivers, 12.5% defense and 12.5% special teams in scoring.
Dolphins Draft 1st Interior D linemen and A Tevin Coleman Power Tail Back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hDMoVqxhNo
Dolphins should draft a Minimum three Heisman considered and two Thorpe awarded players in this draft and off season. Lastly take a QB who can throw accurately deep; Draft late and let him ride the bench a few years under Tannehill. That happen to Arron Rodgers and Tony Romo.
You might change this title to ” going out with a whimper…again”
LMFAO. Only the ‘olphins can make Geno Smith look like Joe Namath.
And it’s Philbin that deserves to be fired not RR.
Ross is a proven loser. Philbin is a proven loser.
I told you so! Enjoy next years .500 season… Again
