Reshad Jones is back!

Reshad Jones is back and his hold-out ended!

Well, that was quick! Reshad Jones is back, and all is right in the world of the Dolphins.

No word yet on why he has returned, but this hold-out has a similar feel to his last hold-out.

Was there a promise of a new deal given to Jones and his agent? Did Jones want to make a “soft” statement about his desires for more security in his contract? Did he realize that it was a no-win situation? Did Mike Tannenbaum get tough and threaten to waterboard him?

At this point no details have emerged, so who knows? And it doesn’t a genius at football gambling to bet that when the “details” do emerge that it won’t be the full story.

But, with or without the details of the turn-around, this is tremendous news for the Dolphins and Dolphin Fans on several fronts – tremendous.

Jones is back and so are hope Miami is returning to a competent franchise.

First, with Jones back, Miami has one of it brightest players, a centerpiece of it’s team and defense, ready to make 2016 a season to be proud of.

Reshad Jones being back is crucial regardless of whether you hated or supported his absence. He is the best player in a secondary that is full of young and new players. His presence can’t underestimated, and his return can begin the “gelling” of the secondary.

This also speak volumes to Tannenbaum’s ability to handle a situation…and this was a serious situation. Mike Tannenbaum has added one more reason why there is hope for Miami this time around. Reshad Jones situation could have gotten ugly. The situation could have dragged out. The situation could have gotten ugly AND dragged out. It did neither. It was professional and expedient. This “stand-off” adds credence to Ross’ decision to hire him.

Now does this mean he IS an excellent GM / VP – no. But, it sure as heck doesn’t say he isn’t!

But, it does say, and this is important, that Tannenbaum has ‘gotten’ Jones back!!!!

So in summery, all that can be said is YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! Go Fins!!!
