Let’s Get a Win with NO Injuries!

The Miami Dolphins have 5 games left in their 2023 Regular Season and they will be co-leaders for the conference if they win tonight against the Tennessee Titans. But, the greatest challenge this season has been staying healthy, especially on their offensive line. A big key to closing out this season right and winning playoff games will be the health of the team. Tennesse might be a weaker team, but they are tough-nosed and will run through a wall for HC Mike Vrabel. So, while I’m confident that the Dolphins will win tonight, my concern is whether they will be able to make it through this Titans game without any major injuries.

Phins outclass the Titans in talent by a mile

Football is a brutal sport and surviving a game is as important to future success as the victory itself. Miami is an amazing 9-3 but has had their offensive line only whole for part of one game due to injuries to Connor Williams, Robert Hunt, and Terron Armstead. Add in serious injuries to Isaiah Wynn and Robert Jones with nicks Kendall Lamm and Lester Cotton and you have a turnstyle of starters. Imagine if the Phins were healthy all season what their record would be?

Last week we lost inside linebacker Jerome Baker for a few weeks and Jevon Holland for a couple of games before that! Now, Christian Wilkins is dealing with a groin injury. It’s not serious, but the way this season has gone, I won’t stop fretting until it’s no longer mentioned.

Robert Hunt is the only player out for tonight’s game with Armstead and Holland questionable. This is great news as the team should be fully healthy for the critical Dallas Cowboys game in two weeks except for Baker.

Jets are next on a short week, so running the football this week will be key

Miami is home and on grass which helps lower injuries, but running the football and moving this game along as fast as possible will be critical with the Jets up next on a short week. Miami can’t let this game drag out and add extra blows to the team. The Jets will hit hard and it will be a short week to rest and prepare. Then it will be a killer’s row of the Cowboys, Ravens on the road, and Bills to wrap up the season followed by the postseason.

You can bet with the best pay-per-head that a Bye Week between the end of the Regular Season and Playoffs be HUGE for the Phins?

Let’s get a fan-wide prayer that we hit the double tonight with a win AND dodge any injuries! This Phins team is poised for greatness, here’s to ‘no whammies’ on the health front! Go Phins!!!
