No Tomorrow(guest writer from Miamidolphinsnews.net)

Today’s the day, seize it Dolphins. Starting with the coaches who have had two weeks to prepare to the players who have had two weeks to practice, your time is now. Will you be 3-2 or 2-3 by games end? No excuses will do. Players are healed, plenty of time to implement the correct battle plan, there was no traveling and the home crowd is yours: today you show us and yourselves who you are as a team.

I had a bye week of my own with a nastiest flu for me and my family. Laid up, I had a lot of time to think. And when my mind came upon my beloved Dolphins the only thought that stuck in my head was: There’s no tomorrow.

A loss today will wipe away all illusions of who we are. There is more consequence to a loss than a win as a victory puts us in a holding pattern with the Patriots and Bills. Yet, we must win to have a chance to sit at the table for the division.

Yes, we could lose and things could come back our way if the Patriots falter and we go on a tear, but does anyone Miami fan trust that scenario? For too many years we have been relegated to pipe dreams. There was a time when playoffs were a regular expectation and the golden ring was the Super Bowl or ACF Championship.

Remember when we were one of the most respected franchises in the league and the cream of the crop in AFC? We are fast approaching two decades of obscurity. We are in the third year of this regime.  It’s high time for a change.

Today is our day. Tomorrow is for losers.  No more ‘we’ll get ‘em next week’. No more ‘wait till next year’. No more!  It’s win or bust as I see it. And I am saying we will win. 24-17 Dolphins: GO ‘PHINS.
