Philm Study: ALL Phins Starting OL v.s. Bears

While Jackson struggled, most of the Phins OL did well v.s. the Bears

In the NFL, the offensive line makes the world go around. No unit has more impact on a team than the O-line: time of possession rests the defense, holes fuel running backs, and protection allows the quarterbacks and receivers to thrive. Now, I did a ‘Philm‘ study on Austin Jackson’s bad play against the Bears and many began to worry about the offensive line. So, I decided to do a second study on the whole offensive line to show that Austin’s poor performance wasn’t indicative of the whole O-line. In fact, there was a lot to be pleased with on the offensive line… How to Start an Online Casino [2021 Guide].

… BUT, I’ll let the tape show it rather than me tell you. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words and all.

Well, here you have it for the 2021 Phins O-line performance. This will be a good set of markers as we watch their next performance.

Keys we saw on tape to look for against the Falcons

  1. OT Austin Jackson Struggled at every point all the way to the end of the 2nd QTR
  2. LG Solomon Kindley provided quality pass protection at times, but struggled to get to the 2nd level and in run blocking
  3. RG Robert Hunt worked well with Dieter and Davis and had only one breakdown
  4. C Michael Dieter had a couple of breakdowns, but look much improved
  5. RG Jesse Davis had far more wins than losses and worked well with Hunt

The Falcons front should be a stronger test for the interior offensive line than the tackles because Grady Jarret is a quality interior linemen… and the edges are not so much. You can bet with the best pay-per-head free trial that this is a good reset week Jackson who will see a step down in opposition, so he must show improvement. With the Miami Dolphins trading for LT Greg Little this week, all eyes should be on him to see if he can be in case of emergency Plan B. Also, Liam Eichenberg will play, so does he prove to be an upgrade over Kindley?

Overall, there were plenty of positives despite the one strong negative. Again, let’s give Jackson more time, but this is an important game for Jackson. Also, let’s stay focused on the fact that there was plenty of good that came out of the Dolphins’ first preseason game: the defense, Gesicki, RBs Brown and Ahmed, and Tua–among others. Let’s hope that’s the focus this week. Go Phins!!!
