Phins’ 10 Most Dependable 2026 Players
Which 2026 Dolphins players are odds on the most dependable to be the best version of themselves?
The 2026 Miami Dolphins enter training camp surrounded by uncertainty. From questions about organizational leadership to a revamped offensive and defensive philosophy, much remains unknown. But amid the change, there are still players who appear primed to thrive in their new roles.
This isn’t to say these players will be the most talented players, although some are. This list is about the players who are the odds-on favorites to be the best version of themselves in the 2026 Season.
Here are the 10 Dolphins I beleive fans can count on this season and why they’ll deliver.
The Odds-on Best Rolls of the Dice
10. Will Casmarik, TE
Casmarik may never be a high-volume receiver, but his value lies in his blocking. In a run-first offense, his physicality should finally become a featured asset, while play-action opportunities could allow him to contribute 20-30 timely receptions.
9. J-Rod, LB
The rookie lands in an ideal situation. Surrounded by veterans and operating in a one-gap scheme that lets him attack downhill instead of taking on blockers, J-Rod’s instincts and zone coverage ability could make him an immediate impact player.
8. Ollie Gordon II, RB
Last year’s struggles were tied more to poor run blocking than a lack of talent. With improved blocking expected in front of him, Gordon’s power, pass protection, and versatility should allow him to emerge as a dependable complement to De’Von Achane.
7. Patrick Paul, LT
Entering his third season, Paul finally gets to play in an offense better suited to his strengths. A heavier emphasis on the running game and play-action should help him make the jump from solid starter to one of Miami’s more reliable offensive linemen.
6. Kadyn Proctor, LG
Moving from left tackle to guard simplifies Proctor’s responsibilities while maximizing his rare size and power. Though rookie growing pains are expected, the fit appears ideal for him to become an immediate force in Miami’s interior.
Top 5 Are Mostly the Best Players
5. Zach Sieler, DL
After an injury-marred 2025 campaign, Sieler should benefit from Jeff Hafley’s attacking one-gap scheme. His quickness and penetration ability fit perfectly, giving him a chance to return to Pro Bowl-level production.
4. Jordyn Brooks, LB
Brooks already produced one of the league’s better linebacker seasons, but the defensive changes may unlock even more. With more zone coverage and cleaner run fits, his strengths should be showcased even further.
3. Jordan Phillips, DT
Phillips’ elite power and relentless effort stand out. After slimming down and entering Year 2, expectations are with the best football software that he’ll become one of the anchors of Miami’s defensive front while generating more interior pressure.
2. Aaron Brewer, C
Brewer’s athleticism has never been questioned. Now, with larger guards surrounding him, he’ll have greater freedom to climb to the second level, allowing his mobility and intelligence to shine despite concerns about handling elite nose tackles.
1. De’Von Achane, RB
No surprise sits atop the list. Improved run blocking, expanded receiving responsibilities, and the presence of Gordon should keep Achane fresher throughout games. If the offensive line delivers, the explosive back could produce the best season of his NFL career.
There Will be Others as Well, But the Odds Aren’t as high
There will certainly be other players that end up showing well this season. But the hill is a steeper climb for others.
- Chop Robinson must overcome strong struggles in the run game
- Rookie Chris Johnson is being given a massive number of duties
- Malik Willis will be starting for the first time with a new team
- Malik Washington will be highly dependent on the quarterback play
- Jonah Savaiinaea is moving back to the right side with much improvement needed, and the right tackle spot is uncertain
There are other players I could also name, but for one reason or the other, they are facing more challenges than my Top 10 list.
The good news is that Miami’s success in 2026 won’t depend solely on star power.
It will hinge on consistency. So, even a player finds some level of consistent play, it will go a long way towards this 2026 Dolphins season.
Maybe we’ll find ourselves pleasantly surprised if enough players even take small steps forward.
Go Phins!!!
