Phins & Fans Must Move Onto the Next game!

This could be the make or break game!

Tua and the Miami Dolphins were off their game against a very good football team in the San Francisco 49ers, who have been a trendy Super Bowl pick since they traded for RB Christian McCaffrey. With the loss of Jimmy G, they proved no matter who is playing QB they are a well-rounded football team in all facets of the game and can beat anyone in this league. Now, the Phins need to forget last week and go and beat the L.A. Chargers because the playoffs are still in sight!

We fans must also catch some amnesia and turn our attention the big game this week!

Not easy, I know.

Tua & Phins MUST bounce back!!

Tua clearly had his worst game of the season!

It was tough watching and listening to the commentary by Daryl Johnston as he mentioned numerous times how this was so unlike Tua to be so inaccurate. Johnston believed his emotions were running so high that he was just too pumped up.

Whether that is true or not, it did make a lot of sense because there was a lot of talk leading up to this big game with McDaniel going against his former mentor Kyler Shanahan. Considering the bond Tua and McDaniel have developed, I bet Tua really wanted to win for him. However, Tua overthrew multiple passes and was just not his usual accurate self.

Luckily for the Dolphins this loss was against an NFC team, instead of being against an AFC team, which will not come into play for playoff tiebreakers. Unfortunately, the Dolphins are a game behind the Bills and would ultimately have to beat Buffalo in Buffalo on December 17 at 8:15p Saturday night (This game was flexed to this new time slot), unless they lose a couple of games.

This week is as critical as it gets!!!

Miami must shrug off this lose and get back on track because they are on the road out west again! Even though the LA Chargers are struggling a bit, they are a dangerous, desperate for a win to keep their playoff chances alive and have an elite QB in Justin Herbert.

The best pay per head sites had the line out before the last game, which had Miami as a -1.5 point road favorite. Monday the line came out at -3 for the Dolphins and the current action is slightly more on the Dolphins. It’s not common for the Dolphins to be a favorite on the road against a decent football team, however that just shows how far they’ve come this season.

The Dolphins pass defense has been suspect and must find a way to stop Justin Herbert, who has a habit of lighting teams up through the air. A shootout on the road could make. But, stopping running back Austin Ekeler could be the key to the game. The Dolphins have a very tough time stopping pass catching running backs, as evidenced from how they were tuned up by McCaffrey last week. Ekeler is small but fast and shifty and has 589 rushing yards for 7 touchdowns with a whopping 85 receptions for 564 yards and 5 touchdowns receiving.

I don’t think the Dolphins have anyone on defense who can shadow and stop Ekeler. So, this could be a major problem for them.

Some reinforcements on the way!

Hopefully Terron can get healthy this week because he is a major factor any time he plays. On a side note, the Dolphins just signed former pro bowl tackle Eric Fisher, who even though he has been out of football this year. If he can play anywhere near his previous talent level, this could be a big positive boost for this O-Line! And, it’s just in time for the playoff push! YES!! You heard me right. Miami Dolphins playoffs!

What are the rest of the Miami Dolphins news fans thoughts on this upcoming game?

    Hello Jimmy!

Playoffs sound fantastic, the 49er’s game got away from the Dolphins they can put that game on the shelf as a lesson learn and move on. This season the Dolphins are winners. GET HER DONE FINS!

We dropped the ball hard against the Bolts, McD had a poor gameplan two weeks in a row and now there with Buffalo… he is very reluctant to run and doesn’t seem to use the right scheme… this OL is far better using inside zone for the most part and struggles with outside zone… in a critical moment in the forth… in the snow, he called a wide zone run… thought that was so dumb and then didn’t run on a 3rd and 1 calling a PA pass that was killed by a sting blitz they’d used all day. We must win this week and must make the PS and win one considering the addition of Chubb… who hasn’t made much of a difference. Trouble or fortune will be created over these next three weeks.

    Jimmy,

Fisher is a big deal signing. If he can stay healthy, he gives us a solid back up for Armstead. We have no one else and 49nr’s proved that. Tua did not comfortable in the pocket all day because of Armstead’s absence. Also, my first criticism of McDaniel. He did not have a good game plan. Should have tried to run the ball more and use other things like mis-directions, draws, screens, reverses, etc. to keep their D guessing. We beat ourselves and let a whole lot of meat on the bone! If Tua connects early on what would have been some very big pass plays, we could have gone up 21-0! Must beat Chargers!

Fisher is a big deal… Armstead looked a bit more healthy against the Bills… not so much vs he Chargers. I thought he’s had 3 bad games as a play caller… but, oddly doesn’t seem think it’s him… Which I don’t like. Smith saying they called a good game was a joke considering what we saw vs the Bills in the ground game. Losing to the Chargers, who give up 5.4 YPC is terrible… because we didn’t run early and often enough… same thing vs Buffalo. It seems like blame is getting raised and someone getting put in position for the chopping block… if things break the wrong way. Starting to lose some shine on McDaniel with the way he handles loses… We must beat GB!
