Phins Wear a Bullseye! Give It To the Bills!

The Miami Dolphins appeared to finally have a talented roster this season by going 3-0 against quality teams. However, as is always the case in Miami, extenuating circumstances happened… and happened again… and again! The biggest finger in the eye as far as ugly narratives was the national debate of how Tua was injured in the Bills game and allowed to come back in the game and then play in the Bengals game on a short turn around. Of course, Tua was injured again in the game. This was ugly on two ends: it was terrible for the kid and added nitro to the fiery debate.

Now the Dolphins face the Steelers and Brian Flores on the ropes with a bullseye on their backs!

Week 7 is a must win for Phins!

The Phins must face their ex Head Coach, Brian Flores who left on ugly terms, in Prime Time on Sunday night at home… and they must win this game at all costs. A loss here would be a devastating blow.

Miami was put under the microscope of how they handled Tua’s injury and as a result the league investigated it thoroughly and concluded that Miami properly followed protocols and then changed the concussion rule. Then Teddy Bridgewater was sacked on the first play in the Jets game and injured. Bridgewater didn’t exhibit any concussion symptoms, but the “spotter” determined he had seen instability after the hit and the first application of the new ataxia provision of the concussion rules was made which automatically ruled out Bridgewater for the rest of the game. A little fishy, you say?

I’m sorry, but I’m pulling the legit conspiracy card on this. Miami already had a target on its back for being criticized for how they handled Tua’s injury, so as a result the NFL shoved it up Miami’s backside and applied the new rule on the Bridgewater hit. Miami then had to play with its third string QB Skylar Thompson, who unfortunately proved he wasn’t ready for the big times.

I watched multiple games that Sunday and pretty much whenever a QB gets sacked he ends up hitting his head, however no other QB was ruled out of the game.

Miami Needs Tua to beat the Steelers and Flores

Will this target still be on the Dolphins with more wobbling seen by spotters? I don’t like the feel of it. Let’s hope this critical game isn’t decided by a ‘wobble’.

Flores knows this team pretty well and knows how to attack. Miami has a sketchy Oline and Pit can still get after the QB even without Watt. That’s not a good combo! The good news is Terron Armstead might be back. He practiced once this week, but missed Friday’s practice. Tua and this Oline needs his play and leadership big time to help them win and prevent a possible ‘wobble’.

My concern is this is Prime Time and the perfect chance for the NFL to prove “they care”.

If they really cared maybe they should examine the Bills defense and their cheap shots on QBs.

Yes, I’m very salty.

Will the Bills get a bullseye too?

I’ve been holding this in and have to let it go: Why is no one is talking about how dirty the Bills were? Let’s not forget the sequence of events in the Bills game where Tua was hit low and the Bills were penalized. Then on the next play Milano pushed Tua to the ground and knocked him out for a while, but no penalty was given on that blatant cheap shot. Then when the Bills played the Steelers last week, they clearly were aiming to knock QB Kenny Pickett out of the game by a cheap shot when he slid first on a running play. The Bills were flagged on the play. Then with a minute left in the game that was out of reach for the Steelers, a Bills player had a low cheap shot on Pickett, where they tried to literally break his ankle. The Steelers players saw the intent and got in the face of the Bills players.

The Bills defense sure looks like they are out to hurt opposing QBs. Is the ole’ Bounty system in Buffalo for knocking out players, just like the Saints got in trouble years ago? All I know is they seem to have no problem taking a 15 yard penalty if it means the opposing QB will get injured on the play. But who wants to talk bad about the new darlings of the league in the Buffalo Bills?

It’s much easier to criticize the perpetual doormat of the league and attack the Dolphins.

Like I said, I’m very salty.

Dolphins must head in the right direction NOW!

The best price per head services had the Dolphins at +1600 to win the Super Bowl after they were 3-0! Now they are +5000 to win the Super Bowl after going 3-3. I want the kid protected more than I want to win, but it sure does feel like the second he gets hit he’ll be pulled concussion or not! Then everyone will be throwing their arms up and criticizing the Dolphins for letting Tua play again. Let’s hope we win this and the kid is protected… and let’s also hope the bullseye moves off the Phins to someone else!

    Jimmy,

Well said. I agree, and I think the Fins were made an example of! That said, I told MJ that the OL is not there yet! Grier needs to make a trade or two and get a quality RT & Center so Williams can go to LG and Eichenberg on the bench! Little, Jackson, Shell, are all basically crap! Jackson is pretty much a bust, and Eichenberg does not appear to be NFL caliber either. Rumors have the Fins trading Gesecki? We could trade Gaskin too for OL personnel. Where is Cedric Wilson? We paid big money for him and he has done nothing! I think he was dealing with some injuries? I say either get healthy and play him, or trade him before the trade deadline. 4 straight games and our QB is knocked out! Tua has the benefit of a top 5 release, Bridgewater and others don’t. Bridewater has looked tentative in the pocket! Just my observations.

“I think the Fins were made an example of!”… I never thought about it until I read Jimmy’s article… and I think they might have been. “MJ that the OL is not there yet!” Yup! I’ve been on that wagon on the YT thing I do for a bit… so, you have been and I 100% agree…. Terron though change a ton. He made all the ddifference last night. “Grier needs to make a trade or two and get a quality RT & Center so Williams can go to LG and Eichenberg on the bench! Little, Jackson, Shell, are all basically crap! Jackson is pretty much a bust, and Eichenberg does not appear to be NFL caliber either.” Agree… but I don’t think much talent is out there to be had on the Ol… and I’m not too fond of Grier’s ability to find OLs. ” Rumors have the Fins trading Gesecki? We could trade Gaskin too for OL personnel. Where is Cedric Wilson? We paid big money for him and he has done nothing! I think he was dealing with some injuries? I say either get healthy and play him, or trade him before the trade deadline.” I agree we should we won’t get much… but we should because we’ll get less if we wait. I really am not high on how this team as been built… we might do well… but, it will be touch and go all year… and we have about a 2 year window before things start to break apart with this team build… we need to make hay NOW!!! 4-3 is a decent spot…. we should win the next 4 or at least 3 of 4 if we are any good… that last streatch will tell us all we need to know, Stephen!!!
