The NFL released their Pro Bowl selections recently, and there is no surprise that the Miami Dolphins only had two players selected, Brent Grimes and Cameron Wake. Both players were well-deserving of the selection, with Grimes tied third-best in the league in interceptions with 5 and was pretty much a shutdown corner all year long, and Wake is ranked 9th best in the league in sacks with 11.5 and has been dominant in multiple games. If Branden Albert did not get injured, then there is a strong chance he would have made the Pro Bowl as well.

It is a great achievement for these two players, however, most of the best bookie software sites like www.AcePerHead.com would say that the Pro Bowl selection process is biased and often has the same players being picked each year. It’s more of a popularity contest than anything else, however, nothing should be taken away from the players selected because it is not their fault.
The biggest thing that does pop out is the fact that Miami still needs to have an increase in talent because it is no surprise that the best teams in the league have the most players included on the Pro Bowl roster. Miami needs more impact-type players, that have the ability to take over a game, or that opposing teams need to game plan around each week.
If Wallace and Tannehill could ever get on the same page and connect on the deep ball then they would be a lethal combination, because even without the deep ball connection Wallace still has 10 touchdowns this season. Landry also has the potential to be a pro bowl player. He is clutch on third down and always finds a way to pick up some yards after the catch, however, he needs to work on his ball security, because he has put the ball on the ground way too many times this season. Another potential lethal combination could be Charles Clay and Dion Sims. Clay was suffering from a knee injury all season, and never really reclaimed his full form, if he is healthy next season, then most football gambling fans would say his production will be more comparable to last season, than this season. Also as the season progressed Sims received more snaps and was contributing more to each game. He is also our biggest target and showed off his big soft hands late in the season. If Clay can get 100% healthy, and Sims can continue to improve as a football player, then this duo could be very dangerous in the passing game creating a lot of matchup issues against linebackers.
Another thing that also jumps out is that guard Zack Martin and inside linebacker C.J. Mosley both made their first Pro Bowl as rookies, and both players were very high on Miami’s radar for their first pick in the draft. Unfortunately for Miami, both players were selected just a couple of spots before Miami came on the board with the 17th pick. At least Miami was in the right ballpark in their evaluation of these two players.
Hopefully, Miami can have another solid draft and free agency this offseason that will provide more talent to this roster and possibly more players worthy of the Pro Bowl. In addition, hopefully, Miami can develop some of their current players into more productive football players.
