Quddus Injury Could Mean Thomas Return

Quddus was an excellent pick up, a darn good player, and it sucks that his injury happened

With Isa Abdul-Quddus likely being unavailable in 2017—and maybe beyond—due to continued swelling in his injured neck, Michael Thomas is an option that´s appearing better and better.

As they say, the devil you know is better than the one you don´t. Now, I’m obviously not saying that Thomas is a devil, but rather, the unknown returns from a new player in the draft or Free Agency is… and, at least Thomas brings the comfort of known quantity—and there is added value in that.

The Miami Dolphins need to fill lots of starting and back-up positions, so acquiring some proven chemistry and leadership might just make over paying for Thomas a good idea.

Free Agency makes teams a bit more comfortable in acquiring players than the draft, due to players having NFL tape and coaches and Gm’s have more a relationship with NFL coaches to get feedback on players. College players acquired through the draft have yet to show what they can do on the pro level, and Head Coaches usually have less relationships with college coaches, so there’s a bit more of an unknown quantity in drafted players.

Now, neither Free Agents or Draftees are a sure thing, but Real Bookies site do strongly favor resigning your own Free Agents as the best way to know what you are getting.

Given that most of the Linebacking core, a couple of Defensive Linemen, maybe a Defensive Back or two, as well a Safety will be new, to go along with a rookie coordinator, bringing Thomas back to pair with Reshad Jones would seem to be wise—even if it costs a little bit more.

With so many moving piece, stability might be as good as an excellent player– t least for 2017..

Having the communication between both the players guarding the top of the defense might keep big play miscues down as the rest of the defense works through their growing pains.
