Robert Quinn Traded To Cowboys For Late Pick
The Dallas Cowboy pulled the trigger took Robert Quinn off Miami hands
It’s official, Robert Quinn has been traded to the Dallas Cowboys for the song and dance of a 2020 6th Round pick on the 3rd Day of the draft.
There were several reports that
This rosy scenario isn’t the case as reported by Armando Salguero.
The good side of this deal is Miami won’t be picking up part of his contract
So, it’s an ‘okay’ win for Chris Grier as is. Something for nothing and $11 Million off the books shouldn’t be sneezed at.
Bottom line is Miami expended a 4th Rounder for a one-year rent on a dead season.
Ugly trade in hindsight.
That pick could have easily been a young player that would have contributed for years.
Thanks, Mike Tannenbaum… again.
This must be a cautionary tale for Grier and Co. going forward. The Quinn trade should also make Phins Fans appreciate the patience that this regime is displaying. Haste makes waste. Don’t trade, draft and develop. Players getting traded are being traded for a reason. One man’s garbage tends to be another man’s trash rather than a treasure.
Thankfully, it appears that Ross, Grier, and Flores are serious about doing it the right way.
This could still be a feather in Grier cap though. All eyes will be on what he does with the pick in 2020. If he can find another Vincent Taylor type starting caliber player or even a Cornell Armstrong backup, this will be a sizable win from nothing.
Of course, we can always hope that a miracle happens that pick turns into Tom Brady…
… why not, the offseason is the stuff of dreams. But just don’t bet on it with the pay per head services like www.AcePerHead.com.
Wow, how amazing was that Brady pick!
Well, we had Dan Marino’s fall to the end of Round 1.
One thing is a fact, the Dolphins Defensive End group has only three players: Charles Harris, Tank Carradine, and Jonathan Woodard. And Harris is more of an OLB stand-up rusher than DE.
Expect Miami to double and triple down on the Offenive Line and Defensive Line position in the draft. Go Phins!!!

Yeah! We may see him play in some future NFL playoff games. He has that gift to carry a team.
I was high on Wilkins last season. Still like what he brings. A late St rounder.
I see him going 10-20 and lawrence 20-30…
Nor am I D. Jones was on the list.

There are many plug and play candidates in every position. My questioned is how many of the 31 NFL players made the Pro Bowl after the Mami Dolphins 1st round selection since 2008?
Admin my next questioned is do we have any ideal who the Pro Bowlers in the 1st 32 players for 2019? And if so why can’t we just draft the best players left on the board verses team needs?
It appears that the Fins never select the Pro Bowlers ETC. Fitzpatrick is and exception and will most likely be an hall of fame player.
Sure fire Pro Bowlers should be the theme in each round.
As crazy as it sounds if tight end is the best player then select him. On the serious side there are two sure Pro Bowlers tight end in the 1st round.

He looks like a beast was studying up on him and praying the Pats don’t get him in a trade up… I still like the DT’s… but him and what we have could be beastly.
