Sharp Action Betting On Miami Win Total

Football is not only the most popular sport to watch in the country, but it is the most popular sport to bet on. Before the season starts, the best sportsbooks in the world put up all types of football futures that people can bet on, such as team to win the Super Bowl odds, team to win each conference, team to win each division, and over under regular season wins.

On some of the best sportsbooks in the world the Dolphins started off the summer at +3500 or 35 to 1 odds to win the Super Bowl, now some of the best football gambling sites in the world have them way down to +2000 or 20 to 1. Usually a big move like this is because sharp action or wise guy action is coming in and the books adjust the line according. Now, I am not saying the Dolphins are going to win the Super Bowl, but this means the sharp guys saw a lot of value at the price of +3500.

Not only did the phins show a big move in their odds to win the Super Bowl, but they also saw a big move in their odds to win the AFC Conference and odds to win the AFC East. When the summer began the Dolphins were +1800 or 18 to 1 to win the AFC conference, now they are down to +1000 or 10 to 1. Their odds to win the AFCE started at +375 or 3.75 to 1 and went down to +250 or 2.5 to 1. However, now it has just been made official that Tom Brady’s suspension has been overturned and that he will be able to play the first four games of the season the odds will adjust. On a side note, karma is a fickle thing and wouldn’t it be ironic if Brady were to be injured in one of the first 4 games of the season. I do not wish any harm on anyone, and he is a great player, but things have a way of working themselves out.

Lastly, for the Dolphins regular season win totals there are two different totals out their depending which online sportsbook you look at. Some have the Dolphins over under win total at 8.5 and the other has them at 9. From inside sources in the industry, I am being told that the Dolphins team total of over 8.5 is a red hot sharp play. When team total wins are sharp they almost always win, which means there is a very strong possibility that the Dolphins will win 9 or more games this regular season. My prediction which was stated in an earlier article is that they will win 10 or 11 games and actually win the AFC East. How many wins does the rest of the Miami Dolphins news fans think Miami will win this season?

8.5 wins?!? How the hell do you win 8.5 games? Even so it’s still essentially another .500 season w no playoffs.

    Yawn.

fckphin look at any gambling website.. its the same as totals or spreads 7.5 you ever seen a game spread like????? Playoffs and when they make the playoffs stop coming on this blogs… No need for negativity hear phinfck

Freak (Ireland), I somehow knew you would have a negative spin for this article. Low and Behold, I was right. When Miami starts out 6-0, thats right 6-0, we already discussed that possibility (another negative spin by you), and are 2 wins away from passing the over/under w/half the season left, what then??? I am sure you will claim that it has been because of the schedule (which we tried to point out to you before) and that they will not win 2 of their last 8 games.

And Freak, I will no longer refer to as Ireland, because as inept as Ireland may have been, even he understands the reasons for optimism for the TRUE Fins Fans.

Well said Dunner. If if we do make the playoffs and have a good season, freak will find some kind of excuse. Wins and losses are out of our hands, but we still show our support for our beloved team, that many of us have been fans of since we were little children. That in itself is a special thing

I agree with what JT is saying. What fills me the most with hope and optimism for the season is not the newly revamped D-line or the new offensive weapons for Tanny, it’s the attitude of the whole team. Hungry, focused, unified. I am documented as not being a fan of Philbin, but I think he finally deserves some credit here. He had never been a head coach and I guess like most people, needed to learn how to do the job. The unity of the team, the mindset, starts with him. Let’s hope it stands fast through some of the coming trials and tribulations that await during this season. Let’s hope it grows and develops even more with with each coming game. Hopefully having the schedule the way it is set up, can allow this team to get to a strong, fast start and reaffirm their faith in one another. When hard work pays off dividends, yields wins, the team will grow even stronger. That’s how championship caliber teams are formed, at some point they start to believe in one another. No team that I remember in the last 18 years has even had this potential. Credit Hickey/Tannenbaum for assembling the talent and the personalities on the roster. Credit Ross for putting it all together. As a Dolfan, whatever happens, thank you. It’s been a fun offseason. I am ready for some football! Go Phins!

I agree there is a hunger and camaraderie on this team that I have not seen on a Miami Dolphins team in a very long time. Yes I do think beginning part of our schedule is something we can take advantage of and we can set ourselves up with a hot fast start

Agree with general assessments by Ralph. Also think there are important intangibles that have improved from recent years – Tannehill’s leadership is way up, Suh’s example, words, and energy complementing other hard workers like Wake and Grimes seems to have produced a positive culture of focusing on technique, practice and consistence rather than less productive talking about ability, emergence of young, high energy, Hickey-selected players filling out depth and adding playmakers, speech of athletes about their functional groups is much more about mutual learning while still competing – supportive and encouraging people to push each other to get better – a far more productive atmosphere than the whining, bullying and lack of coherence of past years. I think the Dolphins will win the AFC, will get to the AFC Conference game and have a decent chance to win the Superbowl – the first time this seemed possible since the mid-1980s. Go Phins!

The Dolphins have the best roster in 15 or 20 years
The defense has greatly improved. Yes we lost Delmas and that is a blow, but Walt aikens seems to be coming of age
Just like we found jeany Jenkins last year a pleasant surprise I think we will find aikens this years most improved player performance
Also our D-line is excellent, and the LB’s corps is quite an improvement over last year
If Taylor can perform at left corner and stay healthy all year long we then have probably the best defense in the league or at least one of the top 3
In offense we added quite a few weapons for tannehill to use
Tannehill will have his best year of he can get time to throw the ball
Receivers, TE and RB’s I think will prove to be much better than last year
So the only question is the offensive line specifically the guards some say they played good in pre season games but there is still a question mark whether they are ready to be good or need another year to improve
So if we won 8 last year we should be able to win 2 or 3 more than that this year with these players
I am optimistic that we will win at least 10 maybe 11 if all the players stay healthy
We are very thin at some positions specially the OL so let’s hope that they stay healthy
