Sieler Rewarded w/ Well-Deserved New Contract!

In a long-overdue and much-needed move, the Miami Dolphins have re-signed defensive lineman Zach Sieler, rewarding him for his stellar play and leadership. It’s no secret that the Dolphins have struggled over the years to adequately compensate homegrown talent, but Sieler’s new contract offers a refreshing change of pace, showing the team’s commitment to recognizing and retaining their key players.

About time!

Maybe this front office has finally come to its senses?

Either way, I’m glad we Phins fans can enjoy every Sunay with Zach Sieler on the field for a long time!

Silers finally gets paid as well as he plays

The Dolphins have inked Sieler to a 3-year, $67.75 million deal, making him the highest-paid player on Miami’s defense. You can bet with the best pay per head that this is a well-deserved recognition for a player whose journey to NFL success is nothing short of inspiring.

Originally a Division II standout at Ferris State, Sieler was drafted in the 7th round by the Ravens in 2018 but was waived twice. The Dolphins swooped in and picked him up in 2019, and ever since, Sieler has consistently improved, becoming a vital force on Miami’s defensive front. Over the last two seasons, he registered 10 sacks in each year and was named the Dolphins’ MVP in 2024.

Known for his relentless motor and lunch pail mentality, Sieler is the epitome of a team-first player. He didn’t hold out during training camp, showing his respect for the team and his teammates. His dedication to playing every snap with intensity is exactly the kind of mindset that can make a defense successful.

Sieler is a BIG piece to any 2025 Hope for defensive dominance

The Dolphins have already assembled a formidable defensive line, with elite pass rushers in Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips, and Chop Robinson. Add to that the promising rookie Kenneth Grant, a first-round pick whose strong camp performance has shown his high ceiling, and Miami’s D-line has the potential to be truly special. This unit is poised to be dominant against the run and a significant threat on passing downs. With the right chemistry, there’s no reason this group can’t rank among the top five in the league for sacks and quarterback pressures.

That being said, for this defensive line to truly shine, they will need to step up and carry the load, especially considering the question marks in the secondary. While the Dolphins’ secondary has the talent, it’s clear that they will require time to gel. The addition of several new faces at key positions means that communication will be crucial, and early breakdowns could result in big plays for opposing offenses. Miami’s defense will need Sieler and his D-line counterparts to perform at their best to help mask these potential issues in the secondary.

In the end, the Dolphins’ decision to reward Sieler with a new deal is a step in the right direction—showing love to their own talent. This has been one of a few good steps by this franchise this offseason. Let’s pray this continues!

Fans can now thankfully look forward to Sieler being a Dolphins for many years to come. We are tired of seeing good players walk in leu of spending huge amount of money and draft picks for other team’s players. Good job Phins!

What are your thoughts, Dolphins fans? Can Sieler and the defensive line help carry the team and make up for any struggles in the secondary?

Hopefully this will be a message to the rest of the players on this team that if you perform very well and are a solid player all around on and off the field and not a problem! You will be rewarded!! Steve.

After the practice vs Bears how do you feel?

Need more depth especially on the OL! This team will only go as far as the offensive line can take us and protect our quarterback and run the football! We really need to average four to five yards per carry especially inside! Not sure we’re there? Steve.

It looks a little better! Paul and Jonah and Brewer and Daniels are different shades of good… RT not so much and depth uhggg… beyond Brunskill…Maybe Cajuste will do the trick 😉
