Sign Plaxico Burress today

phins newsThe Miami Dolphins have a new coaching staff, and a new QB, but they are still getting the same results once the offense enters the red zone, which is ironically no results. It’s wild, they often march down the field, but once they get inside the opponents 20 yard line, it is like they hit a wall, and instead of scoring touch downs, they are forced to settle for field goals. It is a combination of a lack of creativity in calling plays, and more importantly they are missing that big bodied receiver to target in the end zone. Obviously next years first round pick needs to be a player that can score touchdowns, but for now the quick fix would be to sign Plaxico Burress.

Before phins news fans start jumping down my throat for making such an outlandish suggestion, lets look at the facts. Last year Plaxico Burress, did not have any off filed issues, and he played in all 16 games, where he caught 45 passes for 612 yards. More importantly he scored 8 TD’s, which were all red zone TD’s. Now can phins fans honestly say that they would not take that kind of production, even if it was coming from a player that is notorious for being lazy and shooting himself in the leg. Don’t get me wrong Plaxico is not a long term answer, but a quick band aid fix, but still a band aid that is clearly needed for the time being. The sportsbook betting software strategy is that the Dolphins, do not even call Plaxico’s agent, and just finish out the season, with the talent they have, and continue to have the same struggles in the red zone. Obviously this is not the wise sports betting strategy, if the end goal is to win football games, because if that were the case, then Plaxico would have been signed and playing on the Dolphins already.

shoot…I woulda kept Chad Ocho, signed Moss or TO, and found another TE.

    Now those are weapons.

Yeah those would have all been smart choices, but why would the Dolphins ever do something like that

  • Ireland is a country not a GM

I saw Barry Jackson’s blog about Ross’s comments about Ireland maybe being on the hot seat. Here’s my fear – and we saw this first hand with Wannstache – What if Ireland decides to do some dumb shit with the picks he has accumulated? I pray this doesn’t happen.

I’m in favor of adding either Burress or Gaffney, not necessarily to help win games, but to help with Tannehill’s confidence. He seems fairly confident now and I don’t want him to lose that.

Not gonna happen. Why would they call a convict when the traded away BMarshall and released Chad Ocho5?

    Not Philbin type of guy.

I would rather a “Fire Ireland Now!” thread. At least that might happen soon enough.

I know it will not happen, because it would only make our team better, so why would Ireland want to do something crazy like that? Don’t worry the “Fire Ireland Now’ post is marinating until there are a few more losses on the record.
