As opening day is quickly approaching, besides being excited to see our boys in aqua and orange suit up and start the season, we will finally get the chance to have our many questions answered this Sunday. I don’t know if it is just me, but I can’t remember the last time that the Miami Dolphins have entered a season with some many unsettled questions that need to be answered.
For starters, Ryan Tannehill will be the first rookie quarterback to ever start an opening day for our once proud franchise. Of course, every single play and emotion he displays will be heavily scrutinized under the microscope, but the ironic thing is that, I think RT is well down the list of concerns for this team. Phins news fans should be more concerned with our wide receivers, secondary, and offensive line. Can anyone step up in these positions, and blossom into a playmaker, and help ease phins news fans worries? Is the defense going to look like they did in the first 2 preseason games, where they got carved up like a Thanksgiving turkey, or are they going to play like they did against Atlanta, where they bent but did not break? Are passes going to be constantly dropped like a no armed juggler trying to catch balls flying in the air? Is the banged up offensive line going to create running lanes, and allow RT to have time in the pocket? Is the no huddle offense going to work, and mask some of these other problems? With a rookie head coach and rookie QB, can the Dolphins at least give their fans something to hope for in the not too distant future, or is this just another stepping stone in the game of musical QB’s and coaches?
Hopefully the sportsbook betting strategy is that after all these years of heartache, we may be finally in store with a solid foundation to build off, so we can once again be the prestigious and accomplished franchise that we once were.
