Sports Gambling turns the corner with the NFL
Sports Gambling and NFL inch closer… Vegas and the Raiders like that
The US Supreme Court has voted to reverse a previous federal law from 1992 that prohibited many states from accepting sports bets. Now each state has the right to decide if they want to legally allow sports gambling or not.
Some football fans like Phinsnews.com writers M.J. and William don’t bet, so this isn’t a biggie for them. But many fans like me do like to bet, so this was a huge turn of events for us.
It’s a big win for U.S. citizens’ ability to choose what they want to do with THEIR money
Booking action will now be available for any state that wants to allow betting on sports. It also means if you like to bet, you may soon not have to ‘skulk’ around to do it. The stigma is finally being lifted.
Obviously, anyone accepting and making wagers will need to follow the specific rules set by their state. The ruling hasn’t taken But this revenue will be a taxable income for the states, so I expect it to go nationwide A.S.A.P.
This will create a huge opportunity for anyone looking to get involved in the gambling industry… outside of big casinos. All the luxury Casinos in Vegas are extremely profitable, but ultra exclusive to get into. This new ruling gives local bookies a big leg up and a chance to legally get into the business.
Many pay per head reviews like AcePerHead.com wonder how this ties into the move of the Oakland Raiders to Vegas. Did the NFL know this was coming? This should only help to increase a waning viewership in the NFL. So given Vegas is a betting community was this part of the rationale for the Raiders move? An increase of potential bettors should only lead to more people becoming interested in watching sports. It’s a real win for the NFL and everyone else who enjoy betting.
