Terron Gives Back! Hill Keeps on Draining!

The Miami Dolphins find themselves a bit richer and a bit poorer in light of this week’s news! Terron Armstead showed why, despite his injury history, he was the type of player we need more of as he restructured his deal to allow nearly $15 million to be available for the 2025 Free Agency. Unfortunately, a scoop from Joe Rose and Mike McDaniel, revealed that Tyreek Hill is worse than we knew and that’s saying a lot considering his reputation was already hanging with the Tidy Bowl Man.

While Miami now has a large chunk of change to add new talent, Hill is clearly an ever-growing albatross around this franchise’s neck.

Terron showed class coming in & going out!

Terron restructured his money to move $15 million from post June 1st to be available pre-June giving the Dolphins a decent war chest to use in Free Agency. Miami needed this money in a huge way because they have so many holes in starting and backups and only had $700 k to our name. This was such a classy move, proving Terron he had a heart for the Dolphins despite his short time here. If only we could have had him here in his prime.

While there are more contracts we could adjust to add more money, I’m not a fan of most of them.

Miami can now add a few smart purchases in Free Agency supplementing this draft to hopefully fill out this very thin roster.

Thanks, Terron.

On the flip side, Hill is a ball and chain around our ankles

The annoying part is with Calais Campbell gone and Terron likely leaving there’s a huge hole in talent and leadership, leaving Hill a big piece to fill both. While Hill is a generational talent, he is also a generational crumb. I was already chomping at the bit to ship Hill off to someone else and acquire even more draft picks. But, after listening to Joe Rose and Mike McDaniel, you can bet with the best pay per head that I’m now grinding that bit into powder.

First, Rose talked about how he had heard former Dolphins coach Wes Welker was shipped out because of Hill. I still remember Welker stepping between Hill and McDaniel in the middle of a game nudging Hill out of the camera frame. Rose continued to imply that Hill was the prime culprit in breaking discipline. While we knew Hill was a guy showing and going when he wanted and Welker getting moved out had something to do with Hill, at least now we are clear.

Then there was the Mike McDaniel conference where he said Hill was dealing with a ligament issue, not a broken bone! I’m seeing Omar Kelly saying Hill’s wrist was broken but it has healed AND he was also dealing with a ligament issue and that’s being dealt with now.

Something doesn’t feel right there.

The NFL has sci-fi level medical facilities and technology at their disposal whatever it was the team knew, Drew Rosenhaus knew, and Hill knew. Considering how Hill was trying to use his injury as an excuse for quitting in the Jets game, you bet if he had a broken bone AND a torn ligament it would have been 100% used on his excuse/get out of jail free card.

So, what was it?

We were told from camp Hill had a broken bone… and now it’s both?

Or is it one?

Or none?

Who the hell know. All I know is this doesn’t smell the sniff test. Of course, considering Hill’s history, not much does.

This bum can’t get off our team fast enough for my liking! Go Phins!!!
