The Dolphins scored 33 points last week against the Patriots and they achieved that without at least 3 touchdowns that also could have been, but were not converted. The other amazing part was that they scored 33 points, with barely any help from Brian Hartline, Charles Clay or Brandon Gibson. These players were rarely targeted by Tannehill, and only combined for a total of 5 catches.

The scary part is that the Dolphins offense finally has multiple weapons, and they can still win a game with out getting significant contributions from some of their key offensive weapons. I would not be surprised if Lazor changes things up against the Bills, and uses more plays that focus on feeding Hartline, Gibson and Clay. Mike Wallace was the most productive receiver last week, but that was also because he was targeted 11 times, which was almost double that of any other receiver or tight end. I know we want to get our speedster the ball, however out of all the receivers on the team he probably has the worst hands. If the Phins want to have a more dangerous passing attack then Tannehill needs to spread the ball out to his other receivers.

On the flip side, the passing game does not have to be as potent if the running game can gash the opposing defense for 191 yards on the ground. Tannehill needs to be more efficient against a Bills team that he has historically had issues with, going 1-3 against, and never throwing for over 200 yards in a game. Tannehill needs to be more accurate, and get all his receiving weapons involved early, and often in this game.

It was mentioned last week that the quiet-spoken EJ Manuel gave an emotionally pumped up speech to his team before the Bears game, which a lot of players said really got them going for the game. Tannehill should take a page from Manuel’s book, and give his own motivational speech before the Dolphins enter a rowdy Buffalo atmosphere, which will feature pregame speeches from Jim Kelly and their new owner Terry Pegula.
