What Kind of Disaster Will Phins Have In Week 2?

Can the Phins even make this game… well, err, a game?

There is no way to sugar coat what happened to the Dolphins Week 1. Miami was downright awful. This was the worst start of any Phins regime–ever.

If Miami’s season continues with these results this will be a stain on the franchise.

Not to make excuses (but I will), this team was not only gutted in the offseason, a week before the first game there was substantial player turnover as well. Twelve new players were added to the 53 man roster over the course of the week leading up to kickoff.

This is never a good recipe for success.

But at least this week, the turnover has been minimal with the return of DE Tank Carradine and DE Ledbetter and OT Davenport put on I.R.

With a game and an extra week of practice under their belt, will they start playing as a team? Can they even make this game a contest past the first quarter?

Regardless, this season has the appearance of a very long and rough one for the Phins and their fans.

You can bet that frustrations will run even higher if this team can’t find a way to at least stay competitive at some point.

With Minkah Fitzpatrick and another unknown player looking to be traded, some frustrations are already volcanic. What will it be like post-game if there’s another blowout? Will Flore lose the team by Week 2?

Getting on track this week will be as tough as it gets

The Patriots are coming in after a beat down against a supposed quality Pittsburgh Steeler team. To just add insult to injury, the Patriots will now have one of the best receivers in the league in Antonio Brown. Despite the allegations against him, he’ll suit up this weekend in Miami with something to prove.

A Patriots receiving group of Gordon, Edelman, and Brown will be one tall order for the Phins secondary to fill. Save yourself the letdown and don’t expect them to.

The Dolphins secondary was lit up by Lamar Jackson, who the Dolphins made look like Tom Brady. So what’s the real Tom Brady going to do? Sadly the best pay per head services in the world opened the line at -14.5 for the Patriots and the line has rapidly sored up to the current -19.

The public does not seem to mind because this line is not stopping them from pounding the Patriots at an unheard of 10 to 1 ratio.  No one has any confidence that the Dolphins will even be able to keep this game respectable.

Sadly, I don’t see how they will either.

I would love to say it can’t get uglier than last week, but I’m all out of spin. The score may very well be even worse because the Patriots won’t ease up even with a big lead.

What are the rest of the Miami Dolphins fans expecting from this upcoming doom and gloom match up against the Patriots?
