The 9-3 AFC Leading Phins Soon to Be 11-3!
Phins commanding victory over Washington says two more wins coming!
The Miami Dolphins are now leading the whole AFC Conference thanks to losses by the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars. So, even though the Washington Commanders aren’t a good team, they have some talent and they were in their house against the Miami Dolphins. Not only did the Phins win, but they spectacularly whooped the Commanders 45-15, where the Chiefs and Jaguars dropped games where they were expected to win.
Beating teams you SHOULD beat is key to NFL success!
This is the last bit of proof needed to be certain that this 2023 Dolphins team will consistently crush the lesser teams they play. This year the Phins won’t put up stinkers against teams they should beat like in the past. This is why I see 11-3 as a forgone conclusion barring a monumental act of the football gods because the ‘Simmons-less’ Titans and the ‘quarterback-less’ Jets don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of beating this 2023 Dolphins team at home.
Man, 11-3 sure does sound sweet!
Now, we still need to see how the Phins do against the likes of Dallas, Ravens, and Bills… and their playoff opponents. This is the stretch where the season will be made or broken. But, this crushing of the Commanders, to go along with the rest of the lesser teams this season sets a very nice floor for Miami and their fans to build on! And it’s beating these ‘inferior’ teams that have separated them from the rest of the conference… and why they are #1 in the AFC!
The Titans & Jets just don’t have the juice to beat the Dolphins at home
I always believe that on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team. We’ve witnessed this all through the history of the NFL. But, the Titans and Jets are such poor teams and Miami is too balanced with a strong offense, so the Phins going 2-0 over the next two games is as sure a bet with the best pay per head as there comes.
Now, Miami is in the cat bird’s seat for the division and conference and when they move to 11-3 they will have to do well against the Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills to keep it. Being at the top of the mountain is an amazing accomplishment, but either you stay on top or tumble down–there’s no middle road. Phins haven’t been in this position since the flood and it feels great as a fan! Let’s pray the winning continues! Go Phins!!!
