Phins OT Isaiah Wilson Cut Already!

Wilson did everything is his power to get fired!

The big surprise on Saturday was Isaiah Wilson getting his walking papers from the Miami Dolphins. While I wasn’t sure Wilson would make an impact on the Phins, I had a good feeling because of all the relationships Wilson had on the Dolphins. And, Brian Flores has had good instincts when it comes to players. But, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the kid would go belly up this quickly! Man-oh-man, I was so very wrong!

Isaiah Wilson has now double-flushed his career down the drain

According to Total Pro Sports: “Several videos were posted to Wilson’s private Instagram on Friday that showed him dancing shirtless on a car and smoking a vape.”

Check out this link to the article above for some very, very funny videos of Wilson recently. I really can’t say anything other than “What a jackass this kid is”! At some point, he’ll come to regret squandering both his opportunities at the NFL.

So, what does this disappointing failure mean to the Phins?

First, it’s not the end of the world, but it’s not without impact. The Dolphins did trade 7th Rounders with the Titans for the trade, but this is a negligible hit, really. The real impact for Miami is that the Wilson failure, combined with Ted Karas and their desired ‘big prize’ FA prize David Andrews going the Patriots, they are now forced to push offensive line into a priority in the draft.

The Phins now have less flexibility in the top part of the draft because of their misses in Free Agency and with Wilson. Without a legitimate center on the roster and no sure-fire good option at right guard either, can Miami risk not using one of the five blue-chip picks on their offensive line? Again, while it’s not the end of the world, the job of Chris Grier has become a little bit more difficult. The good news is the Dolphins have plenty of aces still up their sleeves. Go Phins!!!

As you remember, I said the connection between Flores and this guys old coaches was thin. It’s too bad we wasted a pick on this guy, but it was a gamble and we lost.
On a high note! I AM correct on 66% of my NCAA picks so far. I doubt that holds up past the sweet 16.

This isn’t just some immaturity, this appears to be a complete mental collapse. Help only happens when you want it. This kid’s behavior is clinical. I expect something bad to happen at some point… I hope not, but, this is far outside the normal range of behavior. Parker was inside and he put it together… this is bad.
But, the pick was a swap of a 6th for a 7th… not the end of the world, but it sucks.
